We only use organic cotton which not only saves water, it’s never grown with any pesticides, herbicides or insecticides. Almost 65% of a garment’s environmental impact happens at the fiber and fabric manufacturing. And we start with the most sustainable fibers and raw materials available. 

Azo dyes practically do not degrade under natural environmental conditions. When the waste water has been released from the factory, it will bio-accumulate in the environment. Posing issues not only in the water which it has been released into, but also affecting the entirety of the ecosystem. We promise to use Azo free and Natural dyes in all our collections.

Our products are hand made with love in limited quantities to ensure the highest production standard and eliminate excess waste. All of our clothing is made within our homegrown studio and a small production unit nearby. Local production means less transportation of clothing and less of a carbon footprint. It also means we ensure fair wages and treatment of the people who work with us. 

For every Label Monk product you buy, we plant a tree. In collaboration with our partners, Grow Trees, who believe in “Greet with Trees – Offset with Trees” philosophy like us. Why trees? Tree planting creates low-skill jobs, and trees provide benefits to current and future generations, have a direct impact on carbon reduction, restoring forests, improving wildlife habitats, and upgrading water catchment areas, and offer flowers, fruit fodder and fuel for local communities and all living creatures.
